While 50% of companies in the U.S. are owned by women, less than 4% have sales in excess of $1 million. The award recognizes the significant accomplishments of our company in just three short years.

We have come a long way since our inception in 2003. In her past life, co-founder Lisa Harrington was a pediatric nurse and PTA president who had an active family business creating beaded ID lanyards from her home. Kimberly Martinez (sister-in-law and hotshot corporate executive) heard the story of this clever product invention and its' success. She convinced Lisa that her fabulous creations should be shared with ID-wearing women around the world. The two left their lives of working for others and have never looked back.

Kimberly is an escaped Financial services executive and is proud to tell everyone she is a certified Shark Diver. Trilingual, she believes she speaks Spanish without any trace of an accent, but native speakers will tell you she sounds like a reverse Charro. Two of her unfulfilled life goals are to attend the Oscars and have dinner at the White House. Please let her know if you have connections for either!! She met her suave husband when their eyes met on Miami's South Beach. They have three children.

Lisa Harrington - Chief Design Officer
Lisa is one of 10 children, a former Pediatric nurse and is the artist behind BooJee Beads. The idea came from her daughter, who beaded ID holders for Mom to wear to work. Lisa has many other great attributes, not the least of which is the ability to sing all the words to almost every pop song from the last twenty years. She is pretty much unbeatable in a game of H-O-R-S-E. She is a married to her college sweetheart and has two terrific kids. She has a dual career as Chief Design Officer and a Super Mom.
